Joking about color but would love to have SD reader in any form as it would allow me to move the printer from my desktop. I know Andrew will come up with the perfect solution. Can we count on it being done this week? Somehow I think the more we all push the faster it will get done. Now that they have moved into the new office I'm sure it's on the top of the list? The competition has it and I'm sure TAM doesn't want to get left in the dust......

Andrew ... whom ever.

If this ever goes into testing phase we'd like to come check that out.

You mention the "upload time" would be equal to print time. That was confusing as one would imagine the firmware would read from the SD card directly. Where would it "upload" too?

We never really did narrow down the issue of "CPU" load being the cause of our shift (and thus the need for the SD reader as a possible solution). We tried a dedicated laptop with same results as well JD was able to print the file from his dedicated setup without issue... so? At this stage it's not looking like a cure for ailing prints more than a cure for desktop location (which is equally problematic for us stretching a 25' usb across an active walk way).

No pressure then!

The LCD's were designed by a local friend of the company with some input from us. We are just getting a few in at first, if they are well received we'll look at getting them in for everyone. I need to design a housing, they'll be an external unit like the old ToM controls.

Andrew, I think we should mill the case out of a single block of aluminium. :P

Might get a bit costly! You tormach guys are crazy with your waste materials!

Could the SD thing be an addon? Sidecar it or something?
Like MasterBlaster?

It better! The entire reason we got into 3d printing was the mantra "If you build it they will come" So "They" whoever "They" are better come quick.

It's all in good fun. We don't mean to pressure TAM. Kevin was nice enough to ask me while visiting about future features and what not. So we only prod as we know they appreciate the feedback.
