EZ FilaGuide - LaserGnomes Edition

Postby LaserGnomes » Sat Aug 10, 2013 3:44 pm

1st of all apologies to Turnrock* for redesigning and redistributing a variant of his design without express credit.

We won't be doing that again... mainly because we just started from scratch making our own.

Even in the before times when reading your name and then especially after seeing your caveman with the new series 1 photoshop... you just became "Turok" to us. Pretty sure everyone has a nickname of some sorts come to think of it.

leave no stone unturned....

I ended up using a rolled up square of microfiber camera lens cleaner, wrapped around the filament, tie strapped that to the lever and it works great as a wipe system and filament guide.

Going to post some pics later on. I dont think I would have said publicly that anyone go slighted LG, just sayin. :lol:

We're on the fence with the wipe down still.
We have a design which features a "cloth grasp" so you can loop it around the filament and secure it at varying tightness's.

Thinking a tube with fiber tendrils would be more effective than a flat wipe which has best contact only at the pinch spots.

The GL is actually a functional statement as well (we double down)

G=Guide
L=Lever

It's derp proof!
