Hi there,
I was cleaning my hot end this weekend, and noticed that the music wire happily carved away bits of PTFE from the guide. Check this photo out. Sorry for the lousy quality, but you can see a bit of PTFE that's still attached to the pipe, but carved off of the wall.
That can't be good.

Horrible picture... even worse diagnosis!
Ugh.. time to break out the optics and start looking at all our heads.

Ah, I first read this as my "diagnosis is incorrect". But now I think I see it as, "that's a terrible diagnosis to get".
I assure you, I could literally see the music wire carving away the PTFE just like a lathe carving away aluminum.

Re: Danger cleaning hot end with music wire
yeah just bad news all around.
As that's been the "way to clean" from the start... now more and more clogs might be related to scoring the core causing drag.
Looking forward to the new hotends. No more issues like this.

To be fair, this piece of wire may have been bent. Maybe a perfectly straight wire would not really be able to touch the walls and cause a problem.

Did the image disappear for everyone, or just me?
