Stepper motor seems like overkill,I made a PVC spool holder and all the binding and skipping steps became a thing of the past.ugly but works like a charm.

I can understand wanting to make your own but you can buy .25 nozzles for $8-$10 on ebay or MakerGear.com

Some progress, I have the X/Y drilled and ready to be squared up with the Spectra line. Z is all set im just waiting for laser cut bed to show up then i can start wiring up the RAMPS. Im considering getting a J-head hot end for 3mm filament and scrapping the Maker Gear 1.75 plan. Sorry for the blurr...

I would guess that the PTFE spray would build up and clog the extruder since it has a much higher melting temp than PLA or maybe it would just screw with layer adhesion.

It doesn't sound like a good idea to me but i would love to be wrong.
