Re: First print with Ninjaflex flexible filament

Printed at 240 degrees, 20mm/sec print speed, .84 retraction @ 40mm/sec retraction speed

To stop the blobbing and strings, I would probably try next time to up the retraction to 2mm@50mm/sec and drop the temperature to 230 to see how that worked....

First print with Ninjaflex flexible filament

Very happy with how the TAM printer prints with Ninjaflex. This is my first print with this material, and I obviously have some tweaking to do (probably temperature and retraction settings) but still, very happy to have my first print with "best guess" settings turn out entirely workable! ...

Re: Simplify 3d software question

Here are ones I currently use for both PET and for PLA....PET has more variability with some colors requiring more temperature, but black PET is a good starter place. Also works with white PET....

Re: Buzzing BUZZING!

I eventually got it solved by having TAM replace the stepper drivers which altalthough were set to the right current, they just weren't giving a good experience. TAM ended up replacing all of them while they had my printer at their facility. Your mileage may vary.

Re: Pinchwheel rusting

Fair enough, no worries.... A person evaluating the machine commented that they did not like the presence of rust anywhere, but I will try to clean it using the method you described...thanks.

Pinchwheel rusting

Anyone else have their pinchwheel oxidizing / rusting? Probably the former is a better term, but I have a red sheen on two out of three 2014's that I have. Scrubbing them with a brush fixes them, but I hope that the oxidation is not getting into the filament as it goes down?

I use S3D as well, and would love to see a head to head printout!
