Re: Series 1 Pro Upgrade price and features

I don't think you should cancel your order at all! I have used the non-Pro machines for production work for clients and they have been happy. The Pro should be even better. Also, quite a few 3D printer companies have lead times, it is the "norm" rather than the exception....or at least 50/...

Re: Series 1 Pro Upgrade price and features

Also, to clarify....when I started this thread, the TAM email said any machine above the 2000 mark would be eligible. The next day TAM sent out an email saying that that was a typo, so all machines from plywood up are eligible, so that part is good.

Series 1 Pro Upgrade price and features

I would love to hear people's thoughts on the recently announced Series 1 to Series 1 Pro pack, and price: $1190 for feature upgrade $1800 for full upgrade ...thoughts? ...and also available only for serial number above 2010, which sadly disqualifies my three printers :( http://www.typeamachines.com...

Re: Stepper Driver Comparison for upgrade

And on my second printer, I was also getting Y-skips after about 30 minutes without the heatsinks. On this second printer I also applied these: http://www.amazon.com/Cosmos-Aluminum-Cooling-Heatsinks-cooler/dp/B007XACV8O/ (actually two of these on the tops of each driver)...and was able to get a goo...

Re: Stepper Driver Comparison for upgrade

Has anyone seen issues with the TMC2100 / SilentStepStick drivers? I was getting Y-skips, but I could not pin it down....until I thought that maybe they were heat related....the IC on these boards is on the underside so after attaching a heatsink to the underside, as well as on the top side, and wai...

Re: Stepper Driver Comparison for upgrade

Reporting back: the SilentStepStick drivers I got make the printer so quiet that not even my 2.5 year old recognized that the printer was running (if he had, he would have run over to it, yelling "print! print!")...so that is a very good test on how silent these stepper drivers really are!...

Re: Stepper Driver Comparison for upgrade

Are the TMC2100 drivers a dropin replacement for the controllers that are already installed in the printer from TAM?

Re: Stepper Driver Comparison for upgrade

Are the Pololu A4988 Black controllers a drop-in replacement for the controllers that ship with the Series 2014? Or should different voltages be expected?

Re: First print with Ninjaflex flexible filament

"pretty darn"

I don't thin I could rip it apart, no matter from any vector I would try.....well "maybe" the thing walls if I pulled in the direction to shear with the lay-by-layer process, but is is pretty strong.
