Re: Holes in my top layer

Hi,

I'd recommend increasing the thickness of your top and bottom layers in Cura. That will add more solid layers, allowing the gaps to close.

Re: Better cooling and remote power up

Hi Kazolar,

Nice work here! I have a question about your 80mm fans. Is that one blowing into the e-tray case or out? Do you still ahve the stock 80mm fan blowing into the e-tray from below on the front?

I am also curious about some of your BBB scripting.

Re: Upgraded Series 1 heated bed questions

The heated bed turns on at the beginning of the print, or whenever it's asked.

The recommended heated bed settings for PLA are around 64C and ABS needs about 110C. We prefer PET+ over ABS, because cancer.

Re: [TRICK] Is Your Printer into Swinging? Its Time for Autotune

Hi Blocky, The Marlin firmware, configuration.h has a variable for "close to temperature". During the autotune procedure, it runs a command to "set to temperature and wait" which is is normally 30 seconds. If your swings can't stay within the defined window for the defined time, ...

Re: UNOFFICIAL BBB Image - Clean & stable! Custom built with OctoPrint 1.3.0, webcam support, and more! - UPDATED 9-18-1

Ryan, I feel it's unreasonable to expect official support from Type A Machines employees on external projects, like yours. Supporting the Officially supported stuff is enough work. Sorry if this seems harsh, but when you answer questions all day for a job, doing it for free is not very fun. : ) I on...

Re: UNOFFICIAL BBB Image - Clean & stable! Custom built with OctoPrint 1.3.0, webcam support, and more! - UPDATED 9-18-1

Hi Bill, This image is unsupported by Type A Machines. The official image is available here : viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1728 The eMMC is the built-in storage on the BBB. It is normally running Debian 7.5 on the eMMC. But if you're booting from your MicroSD card, the eMMC is not booted, and is not (ea...

Sorry, we lost the entire images directory on one of the upgrades to the forum software. We did not specifically remove any images.

You can certainly re-upload your images.

Re: ABS

As far as I know, we haven't tested ABS, as we prefer PET+ for most applications that call for ABS. I see no reason why ABS wouldn't work with the heated bed on the 2015 Series 1 Pro machine. The highest temperature we print at is 310C. The thermistor we use is only good to about 350C, but with a th...
