Re: E-tray fan replacement?

It's a standard 12v PC fan. I think it's the 80mm size. You shouldn't need to match the brand or model. In fact, of you've got a local computer shop you could probably just go there.... the only thing special about the fan is the LEDs. TAM might say otherwise, but you're *probably* okay running with...

Re: Series 1 Pro Networking Issues

Stupid question, but have you rebooted the printer? I'd like to assume you have, but you didn't mention doing so.

Could you put the files in a paste (pastebin.com, etc)?

Re: Network Problems with new Series 1 Pro

In addition to the ping, could you log in to the printer over ssh (user/pass: s1/series1) and show the output of: - ifconfig -a - ip route - cat /var/log/messages (very long, probably best as a text file attachment) - dmesg Network issues are hard to debug without being present, so this could get ve...

Re: Temperature variations

That looks like a connection in a cable going bad. I know they visually look okay, but that temperature wobble pattern is pretty distinctive. As is the fact it stabilized intermittently. Here's the test I've found works best: Turn on the print head to printing temperature. For each corner, move the ...

Re: Series 1 Pro Upgrade price and features

TL;DR- TAM is doing an exceptionally poor job with external communication (possibly due to internal communication problems). They've actively annoyed this early adopter and potential advocate. Based on the several others who have gone silent, I suspect I'm not alone in this. They routinely over-pro...

Re: Is there ANY remedy to the resonance issues causing the "corduroy" effect?

Elijah, Espen, I'm really glad to hear that you're making a lot of progress with this. Any idea when your beta users will be able to start testing? What's involved in the new cabling upgrade that requires the printers be shipped back? I feel quite comfortable with the idea of doing the upgrade mysel...

Re: Is there ANY remedy to the resonance issues causing the "corduroy" effect?

I hate to write this post because I love working with TAM. But if you're considering reselling this, I absolutely have to be honest. Without significant reengineering on the customer side, this printer isn't ready. There's no known fix for the corduroy effect. Parts failure is still a routine proble...

Re: Different types of RUMBA boards?

I had to replace a RUMBA for the same reason - I simply ordered the cheapest one I could find and it worked equally well.

I can make no promises that that's the case for all boards, however.
