Re: Is there ANY remedy to the resonance issues causing the "corduroy" effect?

Has anyone tried (to our collective knowledge) to use mechanical advantage to solve this? Essentially if we are talking that the corduroy surface quality problem is a microstepping resolution issue, it seems that adding a gear reducer would multiply the steps/microsteps the stepper was making for a ...

Yeah I had thought about that actually as the next step after jumping ship from here. May be time to move on to some greener pastures.

Re: Iinstructables heated bed mod... does it actually work?

AAAHHH FINALLY WORKING!!! I grabbed my multimeter and did some tinkering to figure out that there was no juice coming out of any of the heater outputs ( I do have one of those, 0656 tactical network specialist) Turns out it was wired up wrong, that diagram did the trick. I was following the instruct...

Re: Iinstructables heated bed mod... does it actually work?

long story short, I can't figure out what needs to be changed in the firmware to enable the heated bed. I set it up the way the directions say (I did find some contradictions between the pictures and the directions though) so I went with the pictures. It really glosses over the firmware. part of it ...

Iinstructables heated bed mod... does it actually work?

So I have been working on the heated bed mod for what feels like forever and can't ever seem to get straight answers on some of the configuration questions and such that go into it. I used the instructables page to set up the hardware and it is clearly missing some critical pieces of the puzzle. Has...

Re: Heated Bed Upgrade Modification

I have been working on this for a bit and can't seem to quite sort out what in the configuration file I need to modify in order to make the heated bed work. I can get the thermistor to work, but no dice on powering the solid state relay. I did try using the preconfigured arduino cfg file the instruc...

Re: Anyone printing with MadeSolid PET+?

I have used it quite a bit with the settings Elijah posted and it's a really neat material however, I have had some serious warping problems with it to the point that I am not totally sold that you can use it without a heated bed. I am sure it is possible but I have yet to see it. Have either of you...

What does the Beagleboard do?

So maybe this is a total idiot question, but what does the beagleboard black do in this installation? I get that the connectivity stuff runs through it, but the wifi features on my machine quit working after about five minutes and eventually I abandoned it altogether so I could run my rumba directly...

Re: Series 1 Pro Upgrade price and features

- TAM hasn't yet managed to make the basic design reliable. This is not the time for upgrades. It's removing engineering resources from major problems, like failing X/Y axis cables and the corduroy effect. (In theory, the pro upgrade includes the changes staff have mentioned as fixing these issues....
